According to his Twitter page, Mark Mitchell has received a scholarship offer from Coach Roy Williams and the University of North Carolina.
Mitchell is a 6-foot-8, 205 pound small forward from Mission, Kansas. Mitchell is a five star, and listed by 247Sports as the 28th overall prospect in the 2022 recruiting class.
As a sophomore at Bishop Miege, Mitchell led his team to a 19-4 mark and averaged 21.6 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game. Mitchell is known as a lanky slasher who likes to get to the rim, possesses good size and athleticism, and is able to play multiple positions.
In addition to the Tar Heels, Mitchell holds scholarship offers from in-state schools Kansas and Kansas State, as well as UCLA, Texas, Oklahoma State, USC, Wake Forest, and Arkansas.
North Carolina now has four offers out for the 2022 class. Mitchell joins Skyy Clark, Caleb Houstan, and Jaden Bradley. Although it is early in Mitchell’s recruitment, we all know the challenge of getting in-state talent away Coach Bill Self and the Jayhawks.
