Carolina was supposed to be hosting Virginia Tech tonight in their ACC home opener for the 2021-22 season, but that game was postponed due to COVID-19 issues within the Hokies program. That meant Carolina wouldn’t play until this Saturday, but COVID issues in the Boston College camp even had that game in question. Today the ACC announced that Saturday’s game has been moved to Sunday afternoon, at either noon or 1 PM, as they still work out the TV details. While the Tar Heels haven’t played since the Tuesday before Christmas, this will be the first game for BC, since a home loss to Albany back all the way back on December 13th.
The Tar Heels enter this weekend with a 9-3 overall record, including 1-0 in the ACC. Meanwhile, Boston College is just 6-5 with home losses to Saint Louis and the aforementioned Albany, before ACC games against Wake Forest, and Florida State were postponed due to the virus. They do have an ACC win over Notre Dame, who beat Kentucky, who later thrashed Carolina.
Tune back in later this week for a full preview of Sunday’s contest.
