Heel Tough Blog: R.J. Davis Selects UNC

Updated: Oct 22, 2019

Carolina continued it‘s success on the recruiting trail, landing 4 star guard RJ Davis early this morning. Davis picked the Tar Heels over Georgetown, Pittsburgh and Marquette. Davis is listed as a combo guard, meaning he excels at both attacking the basket, playing on the perimeter. He can also handle the basketball, and you can never have too many ball handlers. RJ is known more as a score first guard, and we all saw how Coby White flourished under Roy Williams. The head coach of the Tar Heels offered Davis after watching him play at the Peach Jam (William‘s favorite tournament) over the summer. Ironically this is the 4th commitment in the 2020 class, but Davis is the only 4 star, the rest are 5 star talents.

The Tar Heels aren’t done either in the 2020 class with multiple offers still on the table, for information on those guys stayed tuned to the Heel Tough Blog.
