Rob Cassidy of Rivals.com is now reporting that Pinder could sign sometime this evening, but will not sign in the early part of the day, which was his original plan. It's becoming obvious that Pinder is waiting for 2020 4✮ DT Timothy Smith's decision before he makes his own.

All signs are pointing to Pinder Jr. being the one to sign this evening. It is interesting to note that about two hours ago, 2020 4✮ DT Timothy Smith signed with Alabama despite Florida's efforts to flip him. That will lead to a tense couple of hours until the announcement.
2020 3✮ DT Clyde Pinder Jr. stays with his original commitment and has signed his LOI. A hige sigh of relief for Tar Heel fans after some tense moments. Pinder is arguably the most important commit of this class. That is it for Tar Heels in the early signing period, as 2020 3✮ RB Elijah Burris will wait till February to sign due to an academic credit issue
