Per his Twitter page, De’Ante Green has earned a scholarship offer from Coach Roy Williams and the University of North Carolina.
Green is a 6-foot-9, 205 pound power forward from Arden, North Carolina. 247Sports has Green listed as a four star and the 67th overall prospect for the 2022 class.
Green currently plays at Christ School and is most well known for his scoring, being a playmaker, and his length and versatility.
Green has a slew of offers; most notably Kansas, Tennessee, Florida St, and Louisville. All offers are special, but this particular in-state offer seems to mean a little more. According to Stockrisers.com, Green said “growing up in North Carolina it's every kid's dream to be offered by UNC. It’s really a dream come true.” Something else to note, Green also had the Tar Heels on his list of final schools before formally being offered a scholarship. Let’s hope the home state momentum carries through to commitment.
North Carolina now has five offers out for the 2022 class. Green joins Jarace Walker, Dylan Anderson, Jaden Bradley, and Mark Mitchell.
