For the second time in as many weeks, and for the fifth time during ACC play, Carolina has had a game either postponed or cancelled due to COVID, as Tuesday’s home game against the Virginia Tech Hokies won’t be played as scheduled. This comes after it was revealed there was a positive test within the Hokie program, forcing a postponement.
As of right now, Carolina would have another week off, as their next scheduled game at this time is next Saturday, against Louisville in Chapel Hill. Ironically enough, Miami could be an option for a midweek game. UNC was supposed to host the Hurricanes earlier this week, but the game was called off due to concerns around the coronavirus. Miami plays tomorrow, but does not have a midweek game this week. If Carolina isn’t able to find an ACC opponent to play before Saturday, don’t be surprised to see Roy Williams play a non-conference game just to get his guys back on the court. in a timely manner.
