Smith’s list of final schools includes Auburn, Georgia, Tennessee, LSU, Georgia Tech, and North Carolina. According to 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, Auburn is the favorite to land Smith.

In other recruiting news, Caleb Houstan, also a 2021 prospect announced his final four and it did not include the Tar Heels, rather Alabama, Duke, Michigan, and Virginia.

With Houstan out of the picture and the Tar Heels most likely outside looking in on Smith, the immediate recruiting attention for 2021 will turn to Hunter Sallis and Trey Kaufman, both are prospects Carolina is still heavily involved with. Carolina also still has offers out to Patrick Baldwin Jr. and Chet Holmgren. Duke is considered the heavy favorite for Baldwin Jr. while Gonzaga appears the leader for Holmgren.
