Heel Tough Blog: No. 1 Player in 2025 Class Earns UNC Offer

247Sports

Since Hubert Davis became the head coach at North Carolina, he hasn’t been shy to recruit the best talent coming out of high school, and that cycle has continued after he offered the No.1 player in the 2025 class, AJ Dybantsa. Dybantsa was the Massachusetts Player of the Year back in 2022-23 after he averaged over 19 points per game and almost 10 rebounds per game. Dybantsa actually reclassified to be a part of the 2025 recruiting cycle, and if Carolina were to land him, he’d join Elliot Cadeau as a Tar Heel recruit to reclassify and join the program.

With Dybantsa being the top player in the class, he already holds a handful of offers, including UConn, Alabama, Michigan, and Texas, among other Power 5 programs.

As you know by now, recruiting is a never-ending cycle, as Carolina has already handed out nine offers in 2025, with the offer officially extended to Dybantsa. The other players to have received an offer from Hubert Davis, include Isiah Harwell, Jasper Johnson, the Boozer twins (Cayden and Cameron), Bryson Tiller, Koa Peat, and Darryn Peterson.
