Last week saw the revelation of the Tar Heels 12-game slate for the upcoming season and on Wednesday the program put on the finishing touches with the announcement of the spring game.
The game will take place on April 20th at 3:00 PM in Kenan Stadium. Viewing and streaming information was not released, but will be at a later date.
This year’s spring game might be the most interesting that the team has had since Mack Brown’s return to Chapel Hill. For the first time since Chazz Surratt and Nathan Elliott were battling, the Tar Heels will be in the midst of a legitimate quarterback between Conner Harrell and Max Johnson. On the defensive side of the ball, this will be the first look at Geoff Collins defense, one that is expected to be refreshingly aggressive. Across the board, there will be a lot of new faces that will be battling for significant reps, meaning there will be plenty of reason to tune in or, better yet, make the trip to Kenan Stadium.
