The Tar Heels have already landed six commitments along the offensive line in this recruiting class, but it looks like they are hoping to add one last commitment to the class.

As he revealed via social media, 2026 3✮ OT Khalil Sanogo is set to announce his commitment and will do so next Sunday at a ceremony at his high school. The decision will be between UNC, Arizona, California and UNLV, the four schools that he visited this month. His official trip to Chapel Hill came back on June 10-12.

Sanogo, the No. 1237 overall prospect and No. 97 offensive tackle prospect in the 2026 class according to 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, hails Mansfield Legacy High School in Mansfield, TX. This past season, as a junior, he finished with second team All-District 6A Region 3 honors.

Heading into the decision, this race seems like it can go any direction. The Tar Heels might be hurt, though, by just how many commitments the team has but you never know.
