Heel Tough Blog: Tar Heels in Final Four for 2026 3✮ OT

The Tar Heels have already landed six commitments in the 2026 class along the offensive line, but it doesn’t appear as if they are full at that position just yet.

As he announced via social media, 2026 3✮ OT Tripp Skewes is down to four schools and will reveal his decision on July 1st. The Tar Heels are joined by Colorado, Texas Tech and Vanderbilt as the four still remaining in the running for him. He took his official visit to Chapel Hill back on the weekend of May 30th to lead off the month of official visits and the trip seemed to go well by all accounts.

Skewes, the No. 1200 overall prospect and No. 100 OT in the class according to 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, hails from Kent Denver School in Englewood, CO.

As for where his recruitment stands, he has not really shown a lean in any direction. The Tar Heels reportedly “set the bar really high” according to Inside Carolina so they have to feel like they have a shot here.
