Tonight begins an unprecedented stretch of commitments from Tar Heel official visitors as the team will see five in the next five days. Things kicked off a bit early, though, when the team landed a bit of surprise commitment from a special teams piece that they offered recently.
Earlier this afternoon, 2024 LS Grant Mills announced his commitment to Carolina over NC State and others. Mills visited Chapel Hill back on that final weekend of June and it appears that was what sealed the deal for him.
Mills, a 5✮ long snapper according to Rubio Long Snapping, is entering his final season at Cannon School in Concord, NC playing for the Cabarrus Warriors. He was just recently named an US Army All-American to go along with being named an Adidas and Wilson All-American. He was a part of the 2021 Cabarrus Warriors team that took home a state title.
With his commitment, the Tar Heels are now up to 24 in the 2024 cycle. The run of commitments continues tonight with a decision from 3✮ CB Teddy Foster and continues throughout the weekend into early next week.
