This has easily been the most chaotic two days in the history of Tar Heel football with the opening of the transfer portal window today amidst the new landscape of college football. The Tar Heels have already lost a couple of starters on the defensive side of the football, along with some important depth pieces and key reserves.
One of the reserves who entered the portal this morning amongst all the moves was redshirt freshman defensive back Tymir Brown. The second-year player, who was a 3✮ prospect in the 2021 recruiting cycle, was sparingly used in the two seasons he was on campus, only taking three career snaps, all last year as a true freshman in garbage time. He did not play a single snap this season on defense or special teams.
His departure from the room really doesn’t impact this group much at all. Ladaeson DeAndre Hollins announced he was entering yesterday, but other than that, this room has remained intact. The addition of three corners, all of which could play in the slot will help to neutralize the loss.
