The 2022 season hasn't even started yet, but that doesn’t mean Carolina Football isn’t working on their future schedules. Yesterday the program announced they were removing Liberty from its 2024 non-conference schedule, and adding, an in-state opponent, NC Central. The matchup will take place on September 14th in Chapel Hill.
This news was released in the same press release in which the program also announced that the season opener this season, against FAMU on August 27th will celebrate local and national HBCUs, in an effort to promote the smaller, yet historic black colleges and universities. The game will have many different honorary captains, and the famous FAMU Marching “100” will be on hand, as the game will highlight a special weekend in Chapel Hill.
