A few weeks ago UNC released all the dates for the 2022 non-conference portion of the upcoming, but they didn’t know all of their opponents. Well after the Jumpman Invitational announced that Carolina will take on Michigan on December 21st, they now know all of their opponents, outside of conference play for the upcoming season. Dating back to the 2017-18 season, this marks the fifth time in the last six years, that Carolina and Michigan have faced one another, including a 72-51 UNC win over the Wolverines last season in the annual ACC/Big 10 Challenge.
The Jumpman Invitational will be held in Charlotte, NC, a place very familiar to UNC, as they are 164-27 all-time in the Queen City, even though their last contest there was a loss to Duke in the ACC Tournament. Carolina even owns a win over Michigan in Charlotte, having beaten the Wolverines in the 1987 NCAA Tournament In the Spectrum Center, UNC is 14-2.
