Late last month, 2025 IOL Antoni Ogumoro set an official visit to Chapel Hill for early October, but he adjusted that plan on Friday.
Ogumoro announced via social media that he will now officially visit campus from April 26th through April 28th. The move comes just a few days after he revealed that he will commit to one of his top eight schools on May 21st. The Tar Heels are joined by Houston, Kansas State, Missouri, NC State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Tennessee as those that remain in the running for him.
Ogumoro spent a year and a half at White Oak High School in Jacksonville, NC before transferring to Elgin High School in Elgin, OK in the middle of last football season due to his father receiving a new military assignment. A former full-time basketball player, he began playing football as a sophomore in 2022, starting immediately for White Oak on the defensive line as an edge rusher. This year, he converted to the offensive side of the ball and saw his recruitment take off, receiving 17 offers while he was putting together an all-conference season.
The Tar Heels are one of two teams that already have an official visit rescheduled with him. Ogumoro will officially visit Kansas State May 10th-12th, a team that has made major strides with him since offering him earlier this month. Tennessee and Oklahoma are others to keep an eye to get an official visit prior to his decision. Official visits can take place starting tomorrow and will be allowed all the way up until his decision.
