The Tar Heels are looking to add to their wide receiver haul in the 2026 class and they may not be too far away from doing just that.

2026 WR Zamaurious Robertson announced via social media on Sunday evening that he will be committing during a ceremony at his high school on Thursday evening at 5:00 PM. This announcement came just a few hours after he concluded his official visit to Chapel Hill which started back on Friday.

Robertson, who is currently unranked in the 2026 class by 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, hails from Dillon High School in Dillon, SC. This past season, as a junior, he caught 68 passes for 948 yards and nine touchdowns in ten games, receiving SCFCA 3A All-State honors. On the defensive side of the football, he also chipped in 9 total tackles, 1.0 tackles for loss and three interceptions. The previous year, as a sophomore, Robertson caught 18 receptions, 287 yards and three touchdowns and pulled down four interceptions on defense, two of which he returned for a touchdown.

Considering the timing, it feels like the Tar Heels are firmly in position to land his commitment. Barring something shocking, he should be a part of Bill Belichick’s class on Thursday night.
