Official visits are set to resume for the 2027 class at the end of month, as the Tar Heels look to convince some important targets that they should be a part of what will be a smaller class this year for the program after the massive class the group brought in last cycle. To get you prepared, we’re taking a look at the prospects that have scheduled official visits with the program by position groups and updating you on where their recruitments stand heading into the month. Today, we’ll look at the two defensive line targets that the team will host, including an important in-state piece for them in the room.
4✮ DL Kaiden Robinson-Vickers- Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL): June 12th

Robinson-Vickers is a prospect that the Tar Heels have a lot of work to do with if they are going to land him. Right now, UCF, NC State, Miami and Mississippi State are the four teams that seem to be pacing the way in this recruitment. While his recruitment is still pretty wide open, it doesn’t feel like the Tar Heels have a real shot here.
4✮ DL Maleek Lee- Booker (Sarasota, FL): June 12th

Lee recently released the three schools that will receive official visits and it feels like his recruitment is a toss up right now. Georgia Tech (May 29th) and Louisville (June 5th) are both given a better chance to land him according to the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine, but it feels like the team is in solid shape heading in. The one thing that is notable is that the Tar Heels will get the final say here, so that might play perfectly in their favor and allow them to walk away with the commitment.
3✮ DL Amir Moore- Harrells Christian Academy (Harrells, NC): May 29th

Moore is one of the few in-state targets that will be taking an official visit and like Lee, this is a three team race that provides plenty of opportunity for the Tar Heels. Once again, the Rivals Recruiting Prediction Machine favors both Florida (June 4th) and NC State (June 12th), but it seems like he is pretty open-minded going into the month. This feels like one that the Tar Heels need to secure so it will be up to the staff to impress.
