Official visits are set to resume for the 2027 class at the end of month, as the Tar Heels look to convince some important targets that they should be a part of what will be a smaller class this year for the program after the massive class the group brought in last cycle. To get you prepared, we’re taking a look at the prospects that have scheduled official visits with the program by position groups and updating you on where their recruitments stand heading into the month. Today, we’ll look at the three edge rushers that are expected to make trips to Chapel Hill over the course of the month.
4✮ EDGE Brayden Booth- South San Antonio (San Antonio, TX): June 12th

Booth is part of the Tar Heels strong push in the state of Texas in this recruiting cycle and would be a great headliner for this class. While the Tar Heels had positioned themselves well earlier in the offseason, Baylor has firmly assumed the driver’s seat in this race over the past couple of months. If he makes it to campus on the weekend of June 12th, the Tar Heels will need a strong showing to have any chance of overtaking the lead here.
3✮ EDGE Andrew Rogers- Grimsley (Greensboro, NC): May 29th

The Tar Heels recently re-entered the race for Rogers and they have to feel pretty good about where they stand. The Tar Heels are one of four who will receive an official visit in the next month, joining James Madison (June 5th), Clemson (June 12th) and East Carolina (June 18th). The Tar Heels seem to be in a position where they can capitalize if they make a strong enough push during their official visit.
3✮ EDGE James Harris Jr.- Cypress Falls (Houston, TX): June 19th

Harris is the edge rusher that the Tar Heels have to feel the best about heading into official visits. This race appears to be a two team affair at this point with UNC and Colorado set to receive official visits next month. The Tar Heels will get the final say in this recruitment and that plays into their favor considering they feel like a slight favorite.
