Heel Tough Blog: 2027 Official Visit Schedules- OT

Official visits are set to resume for the 2027 class at the end of month, as the Tar Heels look to convince some important targets that they should be a part of what will be a smaller class this year for the program after the massive class the group brought in last cycle. To get you prepared, we’re taking a look at the prospects that have scheduled official visits with the program by position groups and updating you on where their recruitments stand heading into the month. Today, we’ll look at a position that the staff is clearly valuing in this class, the offensive tackle spot, where they will host five targets during that four week span.

4✮ OT Kelsey Adams- Langston Hughes (Atlanta, GA): June 17th [COMMITTED TO GEORGIA]

Adams has been a long time commit for Georgia, but he’s going to take a full slate of official visits this summer. The Tar Heels are one of those teams that will be receiving a visit, but they are competing with the likes of LSU and Miami, who will receive visits before they do. It feels like the Tar Heels are playing from behind here and need to really blow him away to flip his commitment.

4✮ OT Timi Aliu- Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA): June 10th

Aliu is a highly-rated tackle that the team recently jumped in on and has some work to do with if they are going to eventually land his commitment. Right now, this appears to be a three horse race for his commitment between Nebraska, Florida and Georgia with the Cornhuskers probably feeling the best with where they stand. The good news for the Tar Heels is that he will be their sole focus on the visit, but they will need to blow him away to get back into the thick of this thing.

3✮ OT Patrick O’Brien- Archbishop Moeller (Cincinnati, OH): June 12th

O’Brien is a tackle that the Tar Heels are in a little better standing with coming into the month. The Tar Heels were one of his final six that he released at the end of last month and remains on the list of official visits he will take despite some major changes to that schedule earlier this month. Rival Duke, Purdue and UCLA are the others in contention that will host him for an official visit and it feels like this is anyones to be had right now.

3✮ OT Rance Brown- Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, TN): June 19th

Brown is another recent offer for the Tar Heels who they were able to quickly convince to take an official visit next month. Auburn has surged here recently in this recruitment picking up multiple predictions to land him on Saturday from the Rivals experts. Just getting Brown on campus would be a big win at this point.

3✮ OT Moreno Fisher- Hough (Cornelius, NC): May 29th

This is one of the few in-state targets that the Tar Heels are trending well with in this cycle and it feels like May 29th could go a long way towards eventually landing him. As of right now, this is the only official visit that Fisher has on the docket, meaning it’s really up to the Tar Heels to just land the plane here.
