The 2027 class is in the midst of starting to set their official visits and one of the Tar Heels’ targets along the offensive line has set his trip to Chapel Hill.
As he announced via his social media account on Monday night, 2027 OT Kennedee Jackson will be taking his official visit to Chapel Hill the weekend of June 5th-7th. He has also scheduled official visits to Florida (May 28th-30th) and Georgia (June 12th-14th), two of the other early contenders in his recruitment.
Jackson, who is currently unranked in the Rivals Industry Rankings for the class, just finished his junior season at McDonough High School in McDonough, GA where he was a first team All-Region 2-AAAA member. This offseason, he transferred to Lithonia High School in Lithonia, GA where he will play his senior season.
Right now, the team with the early advantage seems to be Georgia, whose offer seemed to affect him the most. The fact that the Tar Heels already have an official visit scheduled is a good sign, though, and they could prove to be a legit contender if they actually get him on campus in June.
