It’s been over a week since the Tar Heels season came to an end, but the awards and the nominations continue to roll in for R.J. Davis after the senior guard experienced one of the best seasons a guard has ever had at North Carolina. Earlier tonight, Davis was named to the John R. Wooden All-American team and a finalist for the Wooden Award.
Davis joins Zach Edey, Tristen Newton, Hunter Dickinson, Caleb Love, Kyle Filipowski, Dalton Knecht, Tyler Kolek, Jaedon LeDee, and Jamal Shead on the All-American team. As for the finalists for the Wooden Award, Davis joins a group consisting of Edey, Newton, Knecht, and Shead.
The winner of the 2024 Wooden Award will be announced on Tuesday, April 9th, on ESPN.
