The Tar Heels are on the verge of closing camp and beginning preparations for the Week 1 meeting with the TCU Horned Frogs. Prior to doing that, it has been announced that a member of the trenches has officially changed sides of the football.
As first reported by TarHeel247, redshirt freshman Peter Pesansky has converted from the defensive line to the offensive line. It is unclear whether he will play on the interior of the unit or at one of the tackle spots.
Pesansky, who did not play a single snap last year as a true freshman, ranked as the No. 745 overall prospect and No. 82 defensive lineman in the 2024 class according to 247Sports Composite Player Rankings.
This move could be very helpful if he is moving to the interior of the offensive line where the Tar Heels are currently dealing with two significant injuries. It will be interesting to see where he is playing if the media is able to get another look at the offensive line this coming Wednesday.
