The Tar Heels have been searching for help along the offensive line again in this spring transfer portal window and the team has found their newest competitor at the offensive tackle spot.

As first reported by Pete Nakos of On3 Sports earlier this morning, the Tar Heels have signed UAB transfer offensive tackle Jordan Hall after he entered the portal last Wednesday. He will have three years of eligibility remaining at the college level.

Hall, a former 3✮ prospect in the 2023 class, spent the last two years in Birmingham with the Blazers and saw action in twelve games, all of which came this season with most of the action taking place on special teams. In the four games in which he saw offensive snaps, he played 156 snaps, including a career-high 83 in his lone start of the season against South Florida. In 114 pass protection reps, Hall allowed zero sacks but gave up nine total quarterback pressures. According to Pro Football Focus, he finished the season with a 64.5 run blocking grade, a 62.5 pass block, and a 54.9 overall grade.

This is a solid addition along the offensive line that gives you some much-needed size (6’8, 310 lbs.) and competition for both tackle spots. In an ideal world, this is probably not the guy that you want starting in Week 1 against TCU, but with the struggles that everyone else is having, it is not impossible.
