The Tar Heels have been made a chore of flipping players in the 2026 class and that has carried over into the opening of the early signing window.
On Wednesday, the team completed another flip, this time of 2026 4✮ IOL Da’Ron Parks. Parks took an official visit to Chapel Hill for the Duke game a couple of weeks ago which led to his decommitment from Florida State just a few days later.
Parks, the No. 434 overall prospect and No. 34 interior offensive lineman, hails from Nitro High School in Nitro, WV. He is the anchor of an offensive line that averages 165.2 yards per game on the ground and 257.5 through the air. He will play his final game at the high school level on Saturday in the WVSSAC 3A state title game. Prior to this season, Parks made stops at Cardinal Mooney High School in Florida and Hurricane High School in West Virginia.
With his commitment, the Tar Heels are up to 41 commits in the 2026 class. The class still remains No. 17 overall and No. 3 in the ACC according to the 247Sports Composite Team Rankings.
