The class of 2027 is in the midst of setting their official visits for this summer and the Tar Heels continue to receive news of who will be one campus for them during that time. One of the recent players to set his official trip to Chapel Hill is one of their top running back targets out of the Keystone state.

As he announced via social media on Wednesday afternoon, 2027 RB Justice Hardy has set his official visit to UNC for June 19th-21st. He also has official visits scheduled to Duke (May 29th-31st) and West Virginia (dates unknown) this month.

Hardy, who is currently unranked in the Rivals Industry Rankings, hails from Wilson High School in Reading, PA. This past season, as a junior, he finished with 1,130 all purpose yards and 21 touchdowns on 98 touches on offense and had 40 total tackles, three interceptions and four forced fumbles on defense on his way to being nominated for the all-state team. The year prior, as a sophomore, he finished with 752 yards and 11 touchdowns on 83 carries and 233 yards and three touchdowns on 10 catches on offense and had 21 total tackles, two interceptions, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

It’s early in Hardy’s recruitment, but West Virginia seems to have the edge out of the gate after welcoming him to Morgantown for junior day earlier this month. Even with that, the Tar Heels have to feel good about their chances after landing an official visit and feel like they have a chance if they prioritize him.
