Heel Tough Blog: 2027 Official Visit Schedules- CB

Official visits are set to resume for the 2027 class at the end of month, as the Tar Heels look to convince some important targets that they should be a part of what will be a smaller class this year for the program after the massive class the group brought in last cycle. To get you prepared, we’re taking a look at the prospects that have scheduled official visits with the program by position groups and updating you on where their recruitments stand heading into the month. Today, we’ll look at the four cornerback targets that will be officially visiting Chapel Hill in the next month.

4✮ CB Bryce Williams- Western (Fort Lauderdale, FL): June 12th

Williams looks like he is down to three schools at this point in the battle for his services, but one team appears to be firmly in the driver’s seat for him. According to Rivals, Nebraska is the team to beat in this recruitment and them hosting him for an official visit on June 5th is not a good sign for the Tar Heels. Just getting him to campus would be an accomplishment for the Tar Heels.

3✮ CB Joshua Vilmael- William B. Travis (Richmond, TX): June 2nd

Vilmael just added the Tar Heels to his official visit schedule and they are now firmly in the mix for him along with Florida State, Kansas State and Kentucky. With his brother being a part of Kansas State’s roster, they have to be the favorites, but it looks like this is a pretty wide-open recruitment at this point. Vilmael taking a visit midweek means he’ll be the sole focus when he’s on campus and the Tar Heels will have a great opportunity to make a lasting impression.

3✮ CB Nazir Pitchford- Palmetto (Palmetto, FL): June 12th

Pitchford is one of the Tar Heels' more recent offers and they are firmly entrenched in the battle for his services now. This is a three team race with Pittsburgh (May 28th) and Kansas (June 5th) and it doesn’t appear as if anyone has the clear advantage heading into the month. It feels like there is plenty of opportunity here for the Tar Heels, especially with them getting the final say this summer.

3✮ CB Nathaniel Mensah- Rancho Cucamonga (Rancho Cucamonga, CA): June 19th

Mensah enters the month on the precipice of a decision between UNC and Utah. Utah will get the first official visit this summer and they do have the advantage of proximity, but the Tar Heels have more than a fighting chance in this one. A strong showing on the weekend of June 19th might just be enough to get this across the finish line.
