Heel Tough Blog: Seth Trimble Named to the Preseason Jerry West Award Watch List

The 2025-26 college basketball season is officially less than a week away, with Carolina set to open the season against Central Arkansas next Monday in the Smith Center. The Tar Heels are set to host Winston-Salem State tomorrow night, in the final preseason exhibition, after losing to BYU in exhibition competition last Friday night. 

With the season right around the corner, all the preseason watch lists are in the process of being unveiled, and earlier today, senior guard Seth Trimble was named to the Jerry West Award Preseason Watch List, an award given to the best shooting guard in the country on an annual basis. As a junior, Trimble averaged 11.7 points per game and 5.0 rebounds, with hopes of expanding those numbers in his final season at North Carolina.
