The Tar Heels hosted a large group of their top targets over and the payoffs are already starting to be seen.
One of those payoffs came on Tuesday afternoon when 2026 4✮ WR Keeyun Red Chapman’s top schools list was released by On3 Sports recruiting insider Chad Simmons. Chapman, who was on campus in Chapel Hill for the first time over the weekend, will be considering UNC, Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, South Florida, USC as he heads towards his official visits this summer. The Trojans will be hosting him for an official visit the weekend of June 20th and he does have another official visit with one of his other finalists.
Chapman, the No. 182 overall and No. 30 wide receiver in the 2026 class in 247Sports Composite Player Rankings, hails from Jackson High School in Jackson, AL. Last year, as a junior, he caught 51 passes for 1322 yards and 17 touchdowns on his way to all-region honors and a 4A state title. The year prior, he hauled in just 18 passes but turned it into 546 yards and nine touchdowns.
When it comes to where his recruitment stands, USC looks like they are in the driver’s seat here. According to the On3 Sports Recruiting Prediction Machine, the Trojans have a 89.9% chance to land his commitment, meaning the Tar Heels have to build off the success of this past weekend’s visit.
