One of the main focuses of this offseason for Bill Belichick and the front office staff was to get the team national exposure with a TV or streaming series that would document this season for the program. Back in August, the program announced that Hulu green lit a project with the team to show some behind-the-scenes footage to show you how they are building the team in the first season under the direction of Bill Belichick.
According to a report from Inside Carolina on Tuesday, that project has been shut down amidst the Tar Heels' 2-3 start to the season.
This feels like a pretty damning statement about where the program is at right now. It’s bad enough that the team has been non-competitive on the field in the three games with power conference competition, but the reports about the lack of culture and a divided locker room are even more concerning. It makes sense that the program does not want documentation of what might be the biggest mistake in its 135-year history.
