Earlier tonight, the Tar Heels missed on Braylon Mullins, a 2025, five-star shooting guard prospect, who committed to UConn, over UNC, and Indiana. Mullins is ranked as the No. 23 player in the 2025 class and is the No. 5 shooting guard and the No. 3 player from the Hoosier State. Mullins last visited UNC on September 14th, and Indiana on September 21st, but that didn’t stop him from committing to the two-time defending national champions.
Carolina was hoping to add Mullins to their 2025 class, which consists of four-star combo guard, Derek Dixon, but it wasn’t meant to be. The miss on Mullins comes a little while after Carolina stopped recruiting Acaden Lewis, who was believed to be Chapel Hill bound, before landing Dixon.
The good news is that Carolina is still involved in multiple other high-profile recruits, including Aj Dybantsa, and in-state products, Caleb Wilson, and Isaiah Denis.
