Heel Tough Blog: Veesaar Ruled OUT Against NC State

Despite Hubert Davis stating yesterday that Henri Veesaar had made a serious jump in terms of his health after missing Saturday’s game against Pittsburgh, the UNC big man will not be available for tonight’s game at NC State, a Quad 1 contest, which is the only scheduled matchup of the season between the two programs. That means Carolina will look for big contributions once again from both Jarin Stevenson and Zayden High against a smaller Wolfpack squad. In the win on Saturday, Stevenson scored 19 points, going 6-7 from the field, including 3-4 from behind the arc. High, in his first ever UNC start, scored a career high 15 points, and grabbed 7 rebounds, in the 79-65 win. Both guys were able to avoid foul trouble, and that will need to happen tonight, with UNC’s frontcourt being short-handed once again, as Veesaar, Caleb Wilson, James Brown, and Ivan Matlekovic are all unavailable to play for the Tar Heels.

Tonight’s game will tip at 7 PM on ESPN.
