The Tar Heels knew they were going to be without Caleb Wilson on Saturday against Pittsburgh, but it ended up being without Henri Veesaar as well, who was battling the flu and a lower-body injury. Carolina was able to win the game rather easily, 79-65, to improve to 20-5 on the season, and 8-4 in the ACC. Quickly after the game, though, the attention turned to tomorrow’s road game at NC State, which will determine seeding for the ACC tournament, and is the only regular-season meeting between the two rivals. Winning the game without Caleb Wilson is going to be tough as it is, but not having Henri Veesaar might be too much to overcome, and his unknown status has to factor in to UNC being 5.5 point underdogs tomorrow at the Lenovo Center.

Today was a big day for updates from Hubert Davis and the Carolina Basketball program, as Hubert attended the weekly ACC coaches teleconference, hosted his weekly radio show at Top of the Hill, all before the availability report was required to be made available at 8 PM. After updating Veesaar’s status on the teleconference and his coaches' show, the big man from Estonia is officially listed as questionable for tomorrow night, with less than 24 hours until tip. During his radio show, Davis was quoted as saying that Veesaar has made a “major jump” and that “he’s getting a lot better” since missing Saturday’s home win over Pittsburgh.

Veesaar is second on the team in both points and rebounds, averaging over 16 points per game, along with 9 rebounds, while leading the ACC in double-doubles this season.
