On Friday night, it was reported and confirmed by Carolina Basketball that former guard RJ Davis would be honored at halftime, as his jersey would be raised to the Smith Center rafters, after a decorated 5-year career in Chapel Hill. Unfortunately, due to the weather, Davis won’t be able to make it to Chapel Hill for tomorrow night’s game against Louisville, and the program has decided to postpone his halftime ceremony. His jersey has already been raised to the rafters, so you will be able to see it tomorrow night if you’re attending the game, but the program will officially honor him at a later time.
In addition to the Davis jersey ceremony, the UNC athletic department is set to honor former football coach Mack Brown during tomorrow night’s game as well. As of right now, that ceremony is still set to happen, as Carolina will honor their all-time winningest coach on the football field.
