In a move that was expected all along, Seth Trimble officially announced his decision to return to UNC for the 2025-26 season, which will be his senior season at UNC. After earning time in the starting rotation, Trimble was moved to the bench in the back half of the ACC season but was an integral part of Carolina’s late-season surge to make the NCAA Tournament.
Trimble entered the portal after his sophomore season, before ultimately returning, saying that his heart and soul belonged in Chapel Hill. With his emergence on the court and good nature off the court, Trimble emerged as a fan favorite last season, but also gives the UNC backcourt experience, and an understanding of what Hubert Davis wants and expects.
His role is undefined as of right now, but Trimble is flexible enough to start or come off the bench, which is an asset to the coaching staff as they look to fill out the roster in the transfer portal.
